“Deputies today responded to an alarm at the historical Snowden House in Horseshoe Lake,” Allen said, in a statement. “Two deputies that arrived found an open back door and upon clearing the house located a possible suspect who jumped from an upstairs window and ran to a vehicle that he drove across the yard and got stuck in the yard.

“The suspect then jumped from the car and ran and jumped into the lake. He was observed going under the water and never came back up.” According to Allen, rescue teams from the sheriff’s department and Arkansas Game and Fish used sonar equipment to locate and recover the body of Lewis, who had drowned.
In addition, “the body of a female was found deceased inside the house.” Allen identified the woman as Martha McKay.
Neighbors reported that deputies told them McKay had been stabbed, while others said a hammer was the weapon.

Built in 1919, the Snowden House is located several houses away from the Sally McKay home where McKay, 75, and Baker, 52, were found shot to death on Sept. 10, 1996.  The property also served as a location for the 1994 movie adaptation of the John Grisham murder mystery, “The Client.”  Lewis  pleaded guilty to the two murders on April 7, 1998, the day his Circuit Court trial was about to begin in Marion, Arkansas. After she spoke, Anthony J. Pardon was sentenced to life without parole for raping and murdering Rachael Anderson during a break-in at her East Side apartment.

The sentence, imposed by Franklin County Common Pleas Judge
Stephen L. McIntosh, was in keeping with the recommendation of a
jury of eight women and four men who spared the 55-year-old Pardon
from the death penalty after convicting him of the crimes in
February.

McIntosh also gave Pardon an additional life sentence for the
physical harm caused during the rape. And he tacked on 63 years
for kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, as
well as finding that Pardon qualified as a repeat violent
offender.

McIntosh admitted that even he was startled by the brutality of the crime when prosecutors first projected on a courtroom screen a crime-scene photo of the victim’s body, gagged and hogtied and stuffed in a bedroom closet.

Prosecutors used DNA evidence and cellphone-tracking technology to help establish that Pardon raped and strangled Anderson and stabbed her in the back of the neck in her apartment in the 3000 bock of Allegheny Avenue on the night of Jan. 28, 2018, her 24th birthday.

Pardon didn’t react as the victim’s mother spoke, nor when her father, Bill Anderson, called him “an animal who stalked and preyed on our beautiful daughter.” – (Black-on-White)

Cedric Joseph Marks, 45, of Belton, Texas and Kellee Kristine Sorensen, 34, of Lynden, Washington, have both been charged with second-degree murder.

Marks became a person of interest in Pease’s case in 2019 after he was arrested in an unrelated murder case in Texas. Marks had shared a(n illegitimate mixed race) child with Pease when they lived together in Washington. According to the criminal complaint, Pease had suffered abuse at the hands of Marks. In 2009, Pease left with her four-year-old son and moved to a women’s shelter in Bloomington.

According to the charges, on March 16, 2019, Sorensen told
police she helped Marks find Pease at the women's shelter in
Bloomington and helped with the abduction. She explained they
parked across the street of the facility and waited for Pease.
When they saw Pease get out of her vehicle with her son, Marks
punched Pease and put her in their vehicle. In the meantime,
Sorenson dropped the boy off at the women's shelter.

Sorensen and Marks drove off to another area with Pease. At some point, Marks took Pease out of the vehicle, put her in a chokehold and later dragged her out of Sorenson’s sight. Marks later returned, crying, saying he killed Pease and removed her teeth and hands to prevent a possible identification. Pease’s body has never been recovered. – (DESECRATION OF A CORPSE)

Ginell McDonough, who said Marks admitted to her that he killed
Pease in order to get custody of his son. She also remembered that
Marks gave her a CD, which he made for his son to watch when he
turned 18 years old. The CD contained two videos in which he
addresses his children and says he is "about to go and do
something that could either get him locked away for the rest of
his life or get him killed," according to the charges.

He then addresses his son with Pease directly, saying he’s going
on a road trip to save his life because he claims Pease kidnapped
the boy, the charges state. Marks says he’s about to go and do
something “horrible,” but he has to do it because the courts are
siding with Pease.

Marks is currently in custody in Texas, while Sorensen is in custody in Washington.

  Marks is currently in Bell County Jail on a Capital Murder charge. He and 27-year-old Maya Maxwell remain charged in the deaths of 28-year-old Jenna Scott and 32-year-old Michael Swearingen. Last year, the DA`s Office said they would seek the death penalty in the case against Marks. Marks also faces additional charges of Tampering with Evidence, Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Another Felony, and multiple misdemeanors. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.It was also revealed through DNA testing last summer that Marks is indeed the father of his accomplice`s child. Maxwell gave birth to a child while jailed. That child is currently in care of Child Protective Services. As for the couple`s child together, both families have expressed interest in having custody.Swearingen and Scott went missing in January 2019 and were later found dead, buried in clandestine graves in rural Oklahoma. Maxwell is thought to have told investigators Marks killed the pair and where the bodies were buried. Authorities say the connection in the case is that Marks and Scott previously dated. Scott had also sought a protective order against Marks late last year. Both Marks and Maxwell remain held in Bell County Jail.

Ward has been sought since Aug. 18, 2019, on unrelated felony warrants for first-degree battery and a misdemeanor count of third-degree battery stemming from allegations he shot Zachary Bennett, 21, following an altercation that day at 315 Grove St. Bennett reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Hot Springs police had posted Ward’s photo and information to the media and on social media, noting he was to be considered “armed and dangerous” after the August incident.

According to a news release issued by Lawrence, on Tuesday, around 6:30 p.m., Scrimshire conducted a routine traffic stop on a red Nissan Xterra in the 100 block of Kenwood Street after noting the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at Hobson and Linwood avenues. Scrimshire made contact with the driver, later identified as Ward, and noted there was a small child, approximately 2 years old, in the rear of the vehicle who was not in a child safety seat. Scrimshire asked Ward for his driver’s license and current proof of insurance and asked him to contact someone to retrieve the child or bring a car seat for the child.

Ward reportedly provided a false name and date of birth at that time. Officer Anthony Larkin arrived to assist Scrimshire and a few minutes later, Hernandez arrived on the scene. The officers asked her what the driver’s name was, but she would not provide his name, the release said.
Ward began attempting to exit the vehicle as the officers were speaking with Hernandez. The officers attempted to stop Ward and handcuff him at that point. Ward allegedly told the officers three different times “they were not going to arrest him” and resisted arrest and began “actively fighting both officers.”

Hernandez allegedly began pulling and pushing on the officers and yelling at them to stop and leave Ward alone. Larkin then told Hernandez to get off him and used his arm to push her off.

“Hernandez’s actions allowed Kayvon Ward to break free from both officers and run into a fenced-in backyard,” the release states.

Once in the backyard, Ward allegedly fired multiple shots at Scrimshire and Larkin and one of the shots struck Scrimshire in the upper torso above his bulletproof vest. Both officers then returned fire striking Ward.

Hernandez allegedly got into the driver’s seat of the Nissan and fled the scene of the incident once the shots were fired. A defaced firearm was recovered from underneath Ward.

Both Scrimshire and Ward were transported by LifeNet to local hospitals where Scrimshire was later pronounced dead “as a result of the gunshot wound inflicted upon him by Kayvon Ward,” the release states. – (Black-on-White)

When police arrived at the apartment near Seventh Avenue and Bell Road, they found the victim “naked on the floor in a pool of blood” in the master bedroom, according to the police report.
Police say the victim had “multiple stab wounds and other signs of trauma on his person.”
The police report says that the victim “suffered greatly” and calls the stabbing “a brutal and extremely violent homicide.”

Mihaylo’s family said he own a transportation company and was a gentle soul.
“God was good enough to me as his father to be very involved in his life over the last 60 days,” his father said. “He was a great son and I loved him. I’m going to miss him.”

Police say bloody footprints were found in multiple rooms of the apartment, and a blood-stained shirt was found hanging from a light fixture in the dining room. The master bedroom, where the victim was found, appeared to have been ransacked.

Police say they recovered DNA evidence from the apartment, as well as a bloody knife and a used condom. “The evidence would indicate that the suspect may have had sexual intercourse with the victim,” stated the police report.

Mihaylo’s vehicle, a 2019 Chevy Suburban, was also missing from the parking lot. Using the OnStar system, officers were able to locate the Suburban in Peoria. Inside the vehicle, they found a number of items linking it to Donzo, including Donzo’s social security card and a handgun.

Police were able to track down Donzo in Tucson, where he was taken into custody.
But police say he did not go easily.
According to Sgt. Tommy Thompson with the Phoenix Police Department, as Donzo was being taken into custody,
he began kicking the window of the vehicle in which he was being transported. The door was opened so that officers could secure him better. At that time, police say Dozno was able to get out the vehicle and fight with the officers. While doing so, police say Donzo bit several officers.

Officers entered the apartment and saw Sherman covered in blood and standing in the living room. Simpson was found lying face down on the floor, covered in blood and had “significant injuries” to her body. The boy was also located next to Simpson, with blood on his face, torso, pants and shoes. Officers found a knife near Simpson’s body at the scene.

Sherman followed police commands and allowed himself to be taken into custody. However, while en route to the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center, Sherman broke out the back window of the squad car that was transporting him. According to a department spokesperson, a friend of the victims stopped by 2405 Barnhart Avenue around 12:30 a.m. and found them shot inside the home. Police responded and began providing emergency care to the victims. Medics also responded and pronounced one of the men dead at the scene. Medics took another man and a woman to a hospital in critical condition. The woman later died at the hospital according to the Allen County Coroner’s Office. Just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, police announced they’d arrested three people.

  Several years ago Ferrill slipped off or fell off a ladder at the brewery and hurt his shoulder, forcing him to miss work. He told Roenspies that “spies” from the brewery were lurking in the neighbourhood, watching his activities to make sure he wasn’t faking the injury. Once he pointed out the spies’ car to her, she said. The spying “irritated” him, she said.

As officers helped push the car off the bridge, the pair took off running, according to the prosecutor’s office. They were soon arrested and officers discovered a large amount of blood in the vehicle.  Investigators also recovered security camera footage that showed Steinberg pull up to the couple’s residence and left with both men, authorities said. Five teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17 were charged with capital murder in Madison’s death.

On May 14, 2018, Thomas and a woman with him passed in front of a car in which Michael Frost, 31, was a passenger. It was at an apartment complex on Greenbrae Drive at Sullivan Lane. Thomas and his friend walked slowly so the driver of the car with Frost revved the engine, prompting Thomas to yell at Frost. The driver then passed Thomas and the woman with Thomas twice more while driving around the complex and the second time Thomas pulled out a gun and shot several rounds at the car, hitting Frost in the chest.

The gun used in the shooting was stolen three days earlier, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms recovered it in California in 2019. The second stolen gun has not been found, the district attorney’s office said. – (Black-on-White)

lot, say police. It all started when manager Nadia
Rodriguez, 31, and employee Raheem Mayberry,

Kennewick mall restaurant, Kennewick police said. Rodriguez
carried the money outside in her purse at 10:20 a.m. and
Mayberry ran up to her as she crossed the parking lot. He
pushed her to the ground and snatched the purse away. When

working together and had staged the attack. As they questioned

On December, 29, 2019, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Panama City Beach. Deputies found Edward Ross shot multiple times. He was taken to the Bay Medical Center, where he later died.

According to the court documents, witnesses on scene described three men entering the home. Video surveillance shows two white cars at a gas station within two blocks of the home. One man was later identified as a co-defendant to Campbell in this case.

Through the investigation, deputies received information that Joshua Campbell was bragging about “banging a body,” and accurately described of how Ross was found clothes when the initial call came in. On Tuesday, Campbell was interviewed and denied being a part of the homicide. Deputies gathered more information in the case from a co-defendant, and on February 19, that defendant was found in Tallahassee, Florida. During an interview, the defendant identified Campbell as being involved in the shooting, saying he was the one who shot the victim.
The defendant denies being one of the shooters on December 29, but he did admit his role as being a driver for the shooters. – (Black-on-White)

The suspects had taken the youngest victim’s Hyundai Sonata and driven it to Las Vegas, Hemet police said. It was found early Thursday, and the pair were taken into custody. They were being held at Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on bail amounts of $2 million each.

Police had said on Thursday they had arrested two people suspected of killing the three women the night before, but few details emerged at the time about the case. Police were first alerted to trouble at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, when they received a call about a woman who reportedly was lyingin a pool of blood.
